Terms of use
These draft terms describe the intended use of the Sofra prototype. They are not a substitute for legal advice and should be replaced with terms prepared for the final business model and jurisdiction.
Information service
Sofra helps users discover restaurants using third-party place data. It is not a restaurant, booking agent, food-safety authority or guarantee of any business's quality, availability, pricing or suitability.
Restaurant information
Names, ratings, addresses, price levels, photographs, opening hours, amenities, phone numbers and websites may be supplied by Google Maps Platform or other attributed providers. Information can be incomplete, delayed or incorrect. Contact the restaurant before relying on important details.
Search rankings and collections
Results may be combined, deduplicated and sorted using rating, review volume, distance and search relevance. Collection names such as “Date night” or “By the water” describe search prompts; they are not guarantees or independent inspections.
Saved restaurants
The saved feature is a convenience stored in the user's browser. Saved items may disappear if browser storage is cleared, the device changes or third-party place identifiers become unavailable.
Restaurant claims
Submitting a claim form does not verify ownership, change a listing or create a commercial relationship. Sofra may request further evidence before accepting any owner-supplied information.
Acceptable use
Do not misuse the site, submit false ownership claims, attempt to bypass technical limits, scrape or republish third-party place content, interfere with the service or use forms to send spam or unlawful material.
Third-party services
Use of Google Maps, restaurant websites, Netlify and other linked services is also subject to those providers' terms. Sofra is not responsible for external websites or services.
Availability and changes
The prototype may change, be suspended or stop working without notice. Features, collections, search limits and commercial plans may be added, removed or revised.
Commercial launch
Before accepting payments, reservations or paid restaurant placements, add the operator's legal identity, payment terms, cancellation and refund rules, applicable consumer information and dispute provisions.
